Stefanos Tsitsipas is one of the most promising talents in the tennis circuit right now. The 22-year-old Greek national has had a meteoric rise, and he lets his game speak for his talent.
Tsitsipas again made the headlines following a spectacular shot he hit at the ongoing German Open.
Facing Dan Evans of Britain in the round of 32 in Hamburg, Tsitsipas was looking to assert his dominance from the very first service of the match. Evans hit a spectacular cross-court forehand, hoping to trouble Tsitsipas. However, Tsitsipas’s one-handed backhand return not only won the point for him but also reignited his comparison with Roger Federer.

Tsitsipas eventually won the contest in a fairly one-sided manner, with the scoreline reading 6-3, 6-1.
Opening the clay-court tournament on a strong note, Stefanos seemed pretty confident. The win will certainly give him an edge before French Open 2020.
“It’s very satisfying to be playing that level of tennis, as I’ve missed playing on clay,” said Tsitsipas, in an on-court interview. “It helps for my confidence. I’ve watched this tournament on TV since I was very young and I’m delighted to have gotten off to a strong start.”
