In the first ODI of the ongoing India vs South Africa series in Vadodara, India wicket-keeper Taniya Bhatia affected a lightening-quick stumping to dismiss South Africa wicketkeeper-batter Trisha Chetty. Her glove-work remined everyone of legend India wicket-keeper batsman MS Dhoni.
It took place on the third ball of the eighth over when Chetty tried to play a slog sweep off India spinner Ekta Bisht but failed to do so. She had lost her balance while playing the shot and that gave ample of time to Taniya Bhatia to dislodge the bails as the batter’s foot was outside the crease. Fans found similarity with the dismissal of MS Dhoni as well. With this dismissal, India were successful to pick up the second wicket.
Coming in to bat at No. 3 in the first over itself, Trisha Chetty scored 14 (17) which included two fours. After South Africa captain Sune Luus won the toss and chose to bat first, the visitors were bowled out for 164 in 45.1 overs.

Marizanne Kapp, the all-rounder who walked in to bat at No. 6 in the 22nd over, played a crucial knock for South Africa. She scored 54 off 64 with six fours. With bowling figures of 7.1-0-33-3, experienced India speedster Jhulan Goswami was the pick of the Indian bowlers. Apart from her, Ekta Bisht, Poonam Yadav and Shikha Pandey picked up two wickets each.

Taniya Bhatia's been wonderful behind the stumps today. That stumping of Trisha Chetty was exceptional – a wicket that should certainly belong to her! She's got such good hands.#INDvSA

CHANGE IN BOWLING!
Ekta Bisht replaced Pandey and provided the breakthrough! A flighted delivery missed by Trisha Chetty but didn't miss by @IamTaniyaBhatia and she stumped her beautifully for 14.

A dream ball for a left-arm spinner, beaten by turn and easy stumping for Taniya Bhatia. Brilliant from Bisht.
