Watford were really excellent, a solid 3 -0 victory over Liverpool who weren’t threatening during the 90 mins. Liverpool never really recovered from that early goal due to a goal keeping error by Adam Bogdan who got his first start In Premier League for Liverpool. They were not allowed to settle by a relentless set of Hornets. Hats off to Flores and his boys. This counts for 4 straight matches without a win after 6-1 thrashing of Soton. Klopp need to get things sorted as the League is now almost halfway through.

1. Best Players

Watford’s Superstriker Ighalo bagged 2 goals, one in the first half and the second just at the end and his partnership with Deeney was as good as we have seen in past few games. Capoue, Watson outplayed Liverpool’s Midfield and Ake who scored his first Goal for Watford too had a great game.

2. Worst Players

Firmino who clearly was the worst on the pitch,  was caught offside 4 times and didn’t have any affect to the game play in the False 9 position. Adam Bogdan was too nervous and his howler at the beginning just gave the desired start the Hornets required. Emre Can has been too inconsistent with his passing and tackles. Klopp really needs to push his midfield and Milner was missed clearly today.

3. Match Stats-

Liverpool had possession but that same problem of not being in good positions to create more chances is where the Reds lagged. Klopp started with false 9 then brought in Origi, he went for an all out attack with Benteke and Ibe in the second half but too no avail. Watford were too good on the counter and the delightful finishing from Ighalo was just what flores wanted.

4. Match Facts

Watford have, for the first time since 1989, won 4 straight games in Top flight football. Ighalo has now scored 5 in the last six games. Liverpool haven’t won since the 6-1 Capital One Cup win against Southampton. This was Watford’s first win over Liverpool after 1986. Watford have conceded only 3 times before at home. This is Liverpool’s biggest Premier League defeat to a promoted side since losing 3-0 to Newcastle United in November 93′.

5.What’s Next

Liverpool clearly have had a reality check. After having a great start under Klopp, they havent had a good December month which was expected to get better, Liverpool stay 9th and this dismal display needs to worked upon. Still nothing is out of their grasp, in this league of unpredictability we cannot ensure what’s coming next. They play league leader’s Leicester next and a win at home can boost Liverpool’s confidence and build them for the better for second half of season. Watford’s fairy tale continues and fans just need to cherish the moment as they sit points away from top 4.
