“What’s Wrong With This World” – Nick Kyrgios Speaks Out on George Floyd’s Death

Several demonstrators gathered in different areas of Minneapolis to protest against the police killing of George Floyd on Monday. Australian tennis star, Nick Kyrgios, also spoke out against police brutality and racial discrimination all around the world.

Earlier, a video on social media showcased a handcuffed Floyd, an African-American, dying while a police officer knelt on his neck for several minutes.

“Please, please. I can’t breathe. I can’t breathe, officer,” Floyd can be heard pleading in the video. However, the white police officer ignored his pleas and told him to relax. Soon the 46-year-old Floyd choked to death as he could barely move. The incident triggered a fresh outcry over racial discrimination in the US.

Consequently, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey suspended the four police officers present during the incident. However, hundreds of protesters came out on the streets of Minneapolis to call for the prosecution of the officers and demand justice for Floyd’s murder.

“Why do we do this to each other” – Nick Kyrgios

Nick Kyrgios, who has always been vocal about various social issues, also raised his voice against racial injustice around the world. He took to Instagram to speak out against the inhuman behavior of the cops and cited an example of two different systems for the whites and the blacks.

“This is f**ked. What’s wrong with this world? Why do we do this to each other,” Kyrgios wrote on Instagram.

Earlier, several sports personalities, including rising tennis sensation Coco Gauff, NBA stars LeBron James and Rudy Gobert, and WWE great Titus O’Neil raised their voices in support of the black community.

The authorities have to take strict action against the police officers and serve justice for Floyd’s death. Moreover, it is time society banished racial discrimination once and for all.
