Calling them frauds was a bit of a haul. He has expressed his disappointment in his Tweets several times. Obviously, no one would be happy with their title being stripped off of them and now conducting a tournament to crown the champ isn’t pleasing to Zayn. He wasn’t beaten for the Championship and was only being concerned about his health.

WWE could have let him stay as a champion until he returned. That would, however, mean that there wouldn’t be major matchups in that tier. So, on that front WWE’s decision is acceptable, at least to some section of the fans.

We are sure to see a new Champion this Friday. Both Styles and Bryan are great choices to be the next Intercontinental Champion, but it is hard to make the pick at the moment.
