Wimbledon Championships is the greatest honor for a player to achieve in this great sport. This prestigious event is held at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in south-west London This is the only grand slam event held on grass.
As compared to other grand slam events, there are a set of rules and regulations that are to be followed by all participants.
Players playing this tournament have to be dressed in no other colored attire besides white. The Centre Court is a dream for any player to play on. As a fan, to witness the atmosphere around this great club is something worth ticking off the bucket list.

Wimbledon Championships: Brilliant Measure Taken By The Club
The tournament this year has been canceled due to the coronavirus outbreak that hit the world. It was the first time since World War 2, there wouldn’t be any tennis played on the lawns of this historic club.
They pulled off a great move insuring the event. Due to this decision, the club received more than 174 million pounds from insurers. They initiated a pandemic insurance policy back in 2003 when the SARS virus hit the globe.

It must have sounded absurd at that point in time. But as of today, Wimbledon is the real gainer.

Unlike this act by Wimbledon, the French Open and the US Open had to be conducted because they did not have such a policy issued. Most of the players remained disappointed due to the forfeiture of this year’s event.
The 8-time Wimbledon champion Roger Federer was gutted due to this decision. With this being his best chance on increasing his tally at the grand slams along with him being in the twilight of his career, it definitely feels like a lost opportunity.

The club has made it clear that they intend to conduct the 2021 edition. The tournament has got the green signal to proceed with or without fans, depending on circumstances at that point in time.
