Wimbledon Day 3: Djokovic advaces, Raonic hits a record serve

 Novak Djokovic sailed through the second round and enroute ended Jarkko Nieminen’s Wimbledon career with a 6-4 6-2 6-3 win. He will now face the stiff challenge of Australian Bernard Tomic.
Miloc Raonic fired the third fastest serve in Wimbledon history in his win over veteran Tommy Hass 6-0 6-2 6-7 7-6. 
 He sets up a repeat of last year meeting with Nick Kyrgios who defeated Juan Monaco 7-6 6-3 6-4.
Ana Ivanovic and Karolina Pliskova were the latest fallen seeds in women’s section after Pliskova lost 6-7 4-6 to Coco Vandeweghe while Ana went down 3-6 4-6 to Bethanie Mattek.
Serena Williams dispatched Bobos 6-4 6-1 while Azarenka was through with a 6-3 6-3 win.
The Russian beauty Maria Sharapova is also safely through to the next round with a 6-3 6-1 win over hard hitting Hogenkamp.

Japanese Kei Nishikori pulled out of his second round match due to a calf injury. He was drawn to meet Novak Djokovic in the quarters.

The US Open Champion Marin Cilic won a thriller again Ricardas Berankis 6-3 4-6 7-6 4-6 7-5.

Stanislas Wawrinka is also through to the next round with a straight sets win over Victor Estrella. The Swiss won 6-3 6-4 7-5
