Over the years, she has been featured on the cover of various prominent magazines. Notably, Williams once stunned her fans when she posed naked for a renowned sports magazine. The former US Open champion further revealed that she wanted to look “classy” by posing nude.

Many fans were taken aback to see the former US Open champion’s bold side as she posed naked for the cover of ESPN The Magazine in 2009. Serena Williams was 28 years old when she stated that was “flattered” to get the opportunity to be featured on the cover of such prominent magazines.

The American tennis legend was spotted smiling as she donned red lipstick while she posed nude for the cover of ESPN The Magazine’s “Body Issue” in 2009. Williams stated in a press conference in Beijing as she participated in the China Open, “ESPN had a ‘Body Issue’ and they told me I had a great body and they wanted me to be on the cover, so I was super flattered.”

Serena Williams Sends a Priceless Gift to a Little Girl

She went on to talk about the magazine’s cover photo. Williams said, “But I wanted to do it really classy and not trampy. I thought it was a really tasteful picture … I love it.”

Apart from the 23-timeGrand Slam champion, many other prominent athletes were featured on the covers. Some notable athletes, like the NBA star Dwight Howard, and the former mixed martial artist, Gina Carano, were also featured on the magazine’s cover.

Williams was also featured on the cover of Vogue Magazine

Apart from stunning the audience with her brilliant on-court performances, Williams has further amused them with her gorgeous magazine covers. Notably, the 6-time US Open champion made headlines in 2012 during the London Summer Olympics when she appeared on the Vogue magazine’s cover. Williams stunned her fans when she posed alongside the American swimmer, Ryan Lochte.

Apart from this, TIME Magazine honored the seven-time Wimbledon champion by featuring her on their cover photo. The words “THE GREATEST” were placed above a stunning black-and-white image of Williams, lauding her for all her impeccable achievements, both on and off the court.
