Venus and Serena Williams’ origin

Speaking of their origin, Richard Williams promised himself to give his daughters a secure and bright future, and in order to do that, he chose the sport that caters to many sports enthusiasts. Thereafter, alongside the world-renowned tennis coach Rick Macci, he trained Venus and Serena with professional tennis as his goal.

Williams’ ways were quite different. He decided to not push the duo into the pit of junior tournaments. Rather, he let them enhance their skills sets in training courts and gave tennis two of its best players.

Though she couldn’t use her prowess to the fullest because of an autoimmune disorder known as Sjögren’s syndrome. The syndrome causes dry eyes, dry mouth initially and then leads to rheumatoid arthritis.

The former World No.1 has 49 singles and 22 doubles titles under her name. Further, her best performance came in the 2017 Australian Open. There she made up to finals but lost the title to her younger sister. Speaking of Serena, she has claimed 73 singles and 23 doubles titles and is just one Grand Slam away from touching Margaret Court’s all time record. In addition, they have brought America eight Olympic gold medals over the years.

Currently, the Williams duo is gearing up for the last Grand Slam of this season. The upcoming US Open will be the 40-year-old Serena’s last tournaments. She will say goodbye to professional tennis after playing for her seventh title in the hard courts of America.
