‘Didn’t Go Well for Him’ – Serena Williams’ Husband Alexis Ohanian Recalls His First Bully Encounter in Childhood

Even after strict laws, bullying still isn’t a thing of the past. Recently, Alexis Ohanian, husband of Serena Williams and Co-founder of Reddit, recalled his first encounter with a bully during his childhood. Elaborating on his experience, Ohanian opened up about how being the biggest kid in his class helped him get over the bully.

Apart from being the co-founder of Reddit, Ohanian is also an avid investor in startups and makes it a point to provide regular updates to his fans about his life on social media. Taking to Twitter, he retweeted a tweet by the famous capital investor, Sahil Bloom, to talk about his bullying experience.

How Alexis Ohanian got over his bully

The tweet by Sahil Bloom spoke about standing up against bullies. Retweeting the tweet, Alexis Ohanian went back in time, recalling his first encounter with a bully. The American entrepreneur asserted that he had his first bully encounter in the 5th grade. However, unlike other bully stories, this one spoke about how the incident wasn’t a pleasant experience for Ohanian’s bully.

He wrote, “The rest of this list is great, too, but this definitely reminded of the first time I came home from school after getting into a fight with a bully. It was 5th grade + I had a very easy-to-pick-on-name, but I was also the biggest kid in class. Didn’t go well for him.”

That wasn’t all. The founder of the capital investment firm ‘Seven Seven Six’, further replied to his tweet, elaborating on the incident. He talked about the advice his father gave him that day. To which, Sahil replied, “Sounds like your Father is a very wise man.”

Talking about Serena Williams, over the years, she has dominated the women’s circuit like no other player. While the former World No. 1 has been out of the tour for a year, she is all set to make her comeback at the 2022 Wimbledon Championship.
