Notably, the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, also presented Rybakina with the Venus Rosewater Dish trophy during the trophy presentation. In the past, we saw many players go inside the lounge of the Centre Court and present the trophy to the crowd from the balcony of the South West Hall. As Rybakina was going to the balcony, she had a brief conversation with Kate Middleton and the commentary completely stopped at that moment.
Interestingly, they were talking about her Russian roots in the commentary. Earlier, John McEnroe also commented about Wimbledon’s decision to let her player despite Russia being her birth country. Not just McEnroe, but many fans and experts also commented on this subject matter.
