Venus Williams, the former world, no.1, started playing professional tennis at the very young of 14. However, the way her career folded out, having regrets about starting so early must be off the table. She made a mark in her initial years itself. As within three years of her debut Venus reached the finals of the US Open.

Many argue that young players were forced out of social activities by their mentors, to maintain their focus on the game. However, it wasn’t the case with Williams. Recently, a video of teenage Venus surfaced, giving a slight hint of what she was like when younger. In the clip, she shared how she doesn’t understand what parties stand for by saying, “I never really see what’s at a party. Like, when you go to a party, what do you do? Do you dance? I can dance here. There’s food? I can eat here. At a party, I could never understand what is there to do.”
