‘Facts Don’t Care About Your Feelings’ – Serena Williams’ Husband Alexis Ohanian Answers Back to a Troll While Backing NWSL

Apart from being the co-founder of Reddit, Serena Williams’ husband, Alexis Ohanian is also an avid social media user. Being a prominent name, Ohanian uses his social media handles to interact with his fans regularly. However, apart from receiving love from his fans, the 39-year-old entrepreneur often becomes a victim of the ugly side of social media; Trolls.

Recently, Ohanian took to his Twitter handle, expressing his views on the future of the National Women’s Soccer League. Not gelling well with Ohanian’s opinion, a Twitter user took to the reply section, opting to take a dig at the founder of Venture Capital firm, Seven Seven Six. However, having a soft corner for NWSL, Ohanian took no time in answering back the troll in utmost fashion.

Alexis Ohanian backs up NWSL in an absorbing prediction

Joe Pompliano is an Entrepreneur and Investor focusing on the field of sports as a business. On 2nd August, he took to his Twitter handle, placing the top American leagues in terms of ‘Average Franchise Valuation by League’. The list featured major leagues such as NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, and MLS. Putting up the list, he left his Tweet open to opinions, asking for predictions about the change in the list after a decade.

As mentioned earlier, Ohanian has a soft corner for NWSL. And, a while ago, he became the lead investor of NWSL club, Angel City FC. Learning about Pompliano’s Tweet, Ohanian took no time to get to the reply section of the Tweet, giving his prediction about the change in the list after a decade. Not to anyone’s surprise, he included NWSL in the fourth spot, behind NBA, NFL, and MLB.

Going through the stats, NWSL is already seeing major growth in numbers. While a large section of Twitter users backed Ohanian’s prediction, that wasn’t the case with the mentioned user. Going through Ohanian’s prediction, the troll took a dig saying“Lol good try there, Mr. Woke Warrior.”

Trolls commenting on renowned entities often do not expect a reply from them. However, that wasn’t the case with Ohanian. Learning about the troll’s comment, Ohanian opted to educate him with facts probably unknown to him. Quoting his Tweet from 26th April, he wrote, “Facts don’t care about your feelings.”

This isn’t the first time that Ohanian has given it back to trolls. Scrolling through his social media handles, one can see that Ohanian often replies to accounts trying to troll him.
