Serena Williams, the 23-time Grand Slam champion, has been busy with a lot of off-field work nowadays. While the tennis player is recovering from the hamstring injury, she has been doing a lot of promotional work for various brands, including her own brand. Also, she is slowly becoming one of the most successful businesswomen in the USA. 

However, she will remain one of the greatest tennis players ever. Recently, she posted a video on her social media, where she talked about her journey as a tennis player in a really powerful message.

Serena Williams fulfilled a promise she made to herself

Recently, Audemars Piguet, a Swiss manufacturing company of clocks and watches, released a promo video, which featured Serena Williams. In that video, the American tennis player talked about a promise she made to herself, which she kept by doing a lot of things right.

“A long time ago, I made this promise to myself. Work hard, be resilient, believe in yourself. Persevere, no matter the challenge you face. Stay true to yourself. Forge your path, so that others can follow. To be confident enough to achieve my dreams. Confident enough to dare to be the best. This is the power of my promise,” Serena said in that promo video

It is noteworthy that not only is Serena the most successful tennis player, but she is also one of the richest athletes on the planet. Apart from her on-court earnings, she earns a great deal from her various endorsement deals.

Serena is currently 40 years old and could possibly play a few more years on the tour. That’s why she has been doing a lot of investments, like Venture Capital firms, cryptocurrencies, and many more. Particularly, she likes Bitcoin out of all cryptocurrencies. Moreover, she attended a few seminars and conferences about Bitcoin. It’s safe to say she’s already planning ahead and making some retirements plan.

Now, there is plenty of adversity for Serena to handle. It will be interesting to see if she does play the Wimbledon despite all the difficulties.
