‘Her Accomplishments Really Need No Explanation’ – Therabody on Appointing Maria Sharapova as Their Brand Ambassador

Over the years, Maria Sharapova has enthralled tennis fans with her audacious shot-making on the tennis court. She played to her strengths and used her height as an advantage to overpower her opponents. Further, her rise in women’s tennis was somewhat similar to that of the Williams sisters.

Like Serena and Venus, Sharapova received the backing of her father to excel in tennis. He left everything behind to move to the United States with her daughter. Sharapova didn’t disappoint and soon etched her name amongst the best in the world.

Over her illustrious career, she went on to win five Grand Slam titles. Further, she achieved the top spot in the WTA rankings in August 2005. Sharapova announced her retirement in February 2020 and has turned her attention toward her business ventures. Recently, a brand she had invested in had a kind message for her.

Therabody all praise for Maria Sharapova

Post her retirement in 2020, Sharapova invested in tech wellness brand, Therabody. Subsequently, the brand announced her as its ambassador. The company posted a message for Sharapova on its official Instagram handle.

The message read, “Is it any surprise that we have Therabody Ambassador and Investor Maria Sharapova rounding out our Women’s History Month celebration!? A very special and heartfelt #WCW to one of the OG powerful women that has been with us since the beginning. While her accomplishments really need no explanation or introduction, you can head over to our stories to test your knowledge on how she’s made history so far.”

Further, Sharapova is no stranger to the business world. She started her candy company called Sugarpova when she was in her prime days in tennis. Additionally, her other investments include companies like Public.com, Bala Bangles, etc.

Sharapova called an end to her illustrious career in 2020 at just 32 years of age. Her constant shoulder trouble was one of the reasons behind her retirement.
