‘I Live By Being Impeccable With My Word’ – Canadian Tennis Sensation Bianca Andreescu Talks About Equality in Tennis on International Women’s Day

The 21-year-old, who reached a career-high ranking of four in women’s singles, answered the question about what it is like to be a woman in tennis. She said, “I have this thing where I live by being impeccable with my word, and being impeccable with your word means you can use your word for good or for bad.”

Further, she added, “I feel that social media can go either way which is kind of sad but in another way, it’s good because so many people talk about such important events and they stand up for what you believe in. I feel that managing that and we’re both doing that very well is being impeccable with your word but in a good way. I think that’s super important.”

Bianca Andreescu’s injury nightmare
The former US Open champion has been struggling with knee problems. It kept her away from the sport for more than a year. However, she made a comeback last season, but her form has been up and down since her return in 2021. It has had a massive impact on her WTA rankings. She has fallen to Number 44 in the world.
