Naomi Osaka has been suffering from a rough patch of form on the court lately. However, her majestic run in the past that saw her win four Grand Slam titles has made sure to cover up her downfalls, as she continues to be one of the most prominent players on the tour. In addition to it, dealing with downfalls has rightly made Osaka develop a stronger personality.

The Japanese sensation last played at the French Open. Following her Paris campaign, she was expected to play at Wimbledon. However, tendinitis on her left Achilles tendon forced her to withdraw from the Championships. Being out of court, the former World No.1 is unconditionally devoting time to herself. She recently penned down a strong message on happiness and wealth.

Naomi Osaka takes a spiritual turn

Being out of the court, Osaka is enjoying her time in her home country, Japan. Being a solo traveler, the 24-year-old recently visited a religious location in the city of Kamakura. Taking to Instagram, the 4-time Grand Slam champion posted a series of photos of her visit.

While fans went gaga over the post, it was the caption that overpowered the photos. In her caption, the current World No.40 explored philosophical enlightenment, as she expressed her thoughts on the relationship of happiness and wealth. “If you’re happy you’re wealthy. If rich humans could buy happiness they would. Cherish that feeling fr. anyways this is a random Japan photo dump lol,” she wrote.

As per the post, Osaka admitted that one’s happiness has no relationship with one’s wealth. Adding to it, as per the Forbes list, Osaka is the highest paid female athlete in the world. Last year, the total earnings of Osaka amounted to a total of $57.3 million. Although she is one of the highest paid athletes, she has had her fair share of struggles with depression and deteriorating mental health.
