‘Methods Have Not Kept Up’- Serena Williams’ Husband Alexis Ohanian Vows to Change Education With His New Initiative

The husband of Serena Williams, Alexis Ohanian is known for his social media presence. Similar to his wife, the co-founder of Reddit uses his social media handles to give regular updates about his personal and professional engagements.

Adding on to his professional updates, Ohanian yesterday took to his Twitter handle, vowing to change the education system by introducing the world to the Founder and CEO of Prenda.

Having its roots dating back to 2015, Prenda is a modernized education-providing firm. Specializing in K-8 students, Prenda works on providing children with tuition-free micro schools. The firm currently works in more than 6 states in the USA.

Views of Alexis Ohanian on the education system

Apart from being the co-founder of Reddit, Ohanian is also an avid capital investor. Setting up his capital investment firm, Seven Seven Six in 2020, the 39-year-old has invested in numerous firms to date. Recently, Ohanian became the lead investor in Prenda’s second fundraising round.

Making the announcement, Seven Seven Six took to its Twitter handle, posting a long thread of tweets about the founder and CEO of Prenda, Kelly Smith. The thread featured a complete profile of Smith.

While Seven Seven  Six had already acknowledged the presence of Smith, Alexis Ohanian made sure to have his personal involvement as well. Taking to his Twitter handle, Ohanian introduced Smith to the world. Giving his views on the current education system, Ohanian extended his support towards Smith, hoping that the competent founder would make changes to it.

Taking to his Twitter handle, he wrote, Our education system was designed with the assembly line in mind to prepare our children for a world becoming industrialized. Times have changed. Our methods have not kept up. I hope pioneers like Kelly Smith help us build a more equitable and effective way forward.”

Talking about Alexis Ohanian, one cannot forget his wife, Serena Williams. Suffering a hamstring injury at the 2021 Wimbledon, Serena was forced to stay out of the tour for more than a year.

However, yesterday, Serena made one of much awaited announcements, by confirming her presence at the 2022 Wimbledon Championship.
