‘So Proud’: Venus and Serena Williams’ King Richard Film Gets PGA Awards Nomination

Richard Williams; Serena Williams and Venus Williams’ father played an immense role in the success of his daughters. He was the one who introduced the two sisters to tennis. Further, he coached them at an early age of four and a half years. Moreover, he would take them to the public tennis courts to give lessons in tennis.
A biographical drama named ‘King Richard’ was released in November 2021, inspired by the life of Richard Williams.

King Richard movie nominated for PGA Awards
The nominations for the Producers Guild of America Awards were announced yesterday. King Richard was nominated for the Darryl F. Zanuck Award for Outstanding Producer of Theatrical Motion Pictures. Further, some other films to be nominated in this category included Don’t Look Up, West Side Story, The Power of the Dog, etc. Chiefly, King Richard will be competing against nine other films for the prestigious award this year.
