In a recent talk, World No. 20 made a few statements regarding the Williams sisters. He believes Venus is a very ambitious player and gets “sick” even at the thought of losing. Furthermore, he even stated that without Venus, Serena would not have been the greatest woman player of all time.
He said, “She’s insanely competitive – as fierce as there’s ever been. Absolutely cannot tolerate losing – it makes her sick to think about it. She doesn’t even reflect on her wins. She stays in the moment. If it weren’t for Serena she’d be the greatest woman player of all time. Then again, there’s no Serena without Venus.

After having a tough time at Laver Cup 2021, Reilly Opelka has entered Indian Wells with optimism. In the opening round, the American beat Taro Daniel of Japan in a straight-set victory. In the round of 32, he’ll face Grigor Dimitrov.
