Beyonce’s friendship with Serena Williams goes a long way. The former is often seen attending Serena’s matches at Wimbledon along with her husband, Jay-Z. Additionally, Beyonce performed the song ‘Be Alive’ from the King Richard movie, a film based on Serena and Venus Williams’ father, Richard Williams.
The duo is often seen hanging out with each other. Earlier this year, Beyonce opened the Oscars ceremony by performing to the tunes of ‘Be Alive’. The 23-time Grand Slam champion was grateful to Beyonce for honoring her and her family with this amazing performance. On the other hand, Serena had also performed in one of Beyonce’s videos, named ‘Sorry’. The younger Williams sister opened up about this experience.

During an interview, the former World Number 1 revealed her experience while dancing in Beyonce’s video. She said, “Dancing in the Beyonce video was obviously a lot of fun. I remember being super sore after because I was down the whole time, you know, kind of twerking a lot. I was able to work a lot with her choreographers … and I really learned so much just about my body movement and also different styles of movement to do.”

Further, she added, “I have known the director since I was like nine years old. I know Beyonce pretty well, so they were like, ‘We would love for you to be in this particular song. It’s about strength and it’s about courage and that’s what we see you as.’”
