This led to the Williams sisters getting criticism from a few of their fellow WTA tour colleagues.

Serena Williams on her endorsements deals
Serena has been absolutely phenomenal from the start of her career. Coming out from the shadow of her sister, the girl from Compton was quick to make a name for herself. After playing professional tennis for 27 long years, the American legend hung her racket. Her last tournament was the US Open 2022. She played well in the first two matches and retired after her third-round loss. Later, the 23-time Grand Slam champion also appeared in an interview with actor Bradley Cooper.
Here she made a reference to American football quarterback Tom Brady, who returned after retirement. This made her fans speculate about the 41-year-old’s comeback. In the interview, she further said, “I think if I want to come back, I can certainly do it.”
