“You Are the Best”: Serena Williams Gushes About Sister Venus and King Richard Actor

‘King Richard’, the biopic on Venus and Serena Williams’ father, showcases the determination with which Richard Williams raised and trained his daughters, Venus and Serena. Since its debut, it has been doing really well on the box office.

Venus Williams appears to be satisfied with the movie, as she posted a picture of herself and Saniyya Sidney, the young actor who’s playing Venus in the film. She praised the 15-year-old for her work in the movie as well.

Venus Williams writes to ‘King Richard’ actor

The young lives of Serena and Venus Williams have been shown in the movie ‘King Richard’. Richard had to face many hardships in his journey, but he persevered in his quest to make his daughters two of the greatest tennis players of all time. The Will Smith starring movie primarily portrays the dedication Richard had towards his girls.

Recently, Venus Williams took to Instagram to compare her ten-year-old self with an image of Saniyya playing her role in the movie. In addition, she also wrote a heartwarming message for the young actor.

To this, Saniyya Sidney also replied to Venus with a special note. She commented, “You have always been My hero and now it’s a honor to call you family V!”

Serena Williams’ reaction to the post

As soon as Venus posted, Serena Williams couldn’t stop her excitement either and commented on the post. “Gosh you are the best,” wrote Serena.

American skateboarder, Jordyn Barratt also commented on the post. She wrote, “my mom and i are going to the theaters to watch your guys movie tonight!!! so excited to see it @venuswilliams”.

American filmmaker Ava DuVernay, associated with ‘When They See Us’ and ‘Selma’ also penned down a long message for both Venus and Sidney. She wrote, “She’s exceptional as you. And I felt proud watching her be you. Still treasure the time we made creating VENUS VS together and love that KING RICHARD shares more of your tremendous, trailblazing story.”

From all these comments, it’s evident that people are giving positive responses to the biopic. All the actors have delivered their 100% in the movie, which has surely been appreciated by Venus and Serena.
