Wight added that whenever he asks younger talent how long have they been working, the answers are XYZ number of years. But when he asks them how long have they been getting paid, the answer is only a handful of months.
Paul Wight explained to Miro, “When you work once or twice a month, that’s not working. You need to work 5-6 nights a week, 4-5 years straight and then you’re working. Because, that’s how you find out who you are and discover who you are and get a rhythm for who you are.”
Paul Wight also added that second-generation, third-generation wrestlers have an advantage because they grow up in the business. They understand the lingo and psychology of the business quicker than others. He then gave an example of Austin Gunn, son of WWE Hall of Famer Billy Gunn.
