AEW Superstar Cody Rhodes didn’t leave WWE on good terms. The former WWE Superstar was left with wrath and frustration by the treatment of WWE towards him. He felt that he was underused and was tired of playing the Gimmick of Stardust.
Cody then left WWE in 2016 and hasn’t turned back since as he is now a prominent face of AEW. In a recent interview, Cody stated a surprise name as his role model whom the fans thought Cody had actual heat throughout his career.

Cody Rhodes names Triple H as his role model
In a recent interview with Inside the Ropes, Cody Rhodes talked about his career and his current run with AEW. At one point, Cody revealed that his role model was none other than the COO of WWE, Triple H. Rhoades added that the way Triple H carried himself with multiple roles within the company reminded him of his Dad Dusty Rhodes.
Cody also added that he watched him from a distance and learned a lot from him when he had a stint with the Hunter, Shawn Michaels, and Ted DiBiase.

Cody said- “I don’t know if I should share this, but, at some point, it’s going to come off my chest: Triple H is probably my favorite wrestler and was a role model. I only watched from a distance, but he reminded me a lot of my dad in the sense that I watched him do all the work, be this executive, and then go out there.”
Cody and his controversial AEW Double or Nothing Entrance
Cody Rhodes made headlines with his Entrance at the AEW Double or Nothing PPV when he smashed a throne which was a straight-out jab to Triple H and WWE. This came out as a statement from Cody when he found out WWE counter-programmed AEW by placing WWE NXT on the same slot on Wednesday.

Cody said that he just wanted to make a statement, and the Entrance precisely conveyed a message to the wrestling fans on the fact AEW would not slow down.

During the interview, Cody then shared a recent conversation he had with Triple H. The Game congratulated Cody Rhoads and his partner Brandi Rhodes on having a daughter, which meant a lot to the former WWE Superstar. Cody Rhodes is currently working at AEW as one of the centerpieces of the show.
