The future WWE Hall of Famer Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock, has been a fan favorite for ages. Not only is Dwayne Johnson the ‘People’s Champ’, but he is also WWE boss Vince McMahon’s best guy!

With The Rock being on every marquee of WWE shows back in 2012, a former WWE superstar, aka the newly crowned AEW World Champion CM Punk, had a major beef with him. Before leaving Vince McMahon’s company, CM Punk foul-mouthed Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson for being the top star.

Recently, CM Punk climbed the top of the mountain at AEW Double or Nothing PPV. He defeated Hangman Page to become the AEW World Champion. However, CM Punk suffered embarrassment at this PPV as he botched (messed up) several times.

On the latest edition of the AEW Dynamite, Punk tagged along with ROH & AAA World Tag Team Champions FTR to square off against Max Caster and Gunn Club. During this match, CM Punk plunged three hilarious botches that were flustering to watch.

First, ‘Best in the World’ tried a jump from a top rope; however, he stumbled upon the top rope and tipped off. The AEW commentator acknowledged Punk’s botch as “slipped off the top rope.” Then, CM Punk went for a dropkick on one of Gunn Club’s members. But, the AEW World Champion failed to deliver a dropkick because the kick did not touch the opponent’s body.

In the final moments of the match, CM Punk delivered a power bomb to Austin Gunn. But the power bomb was supposed to land on Billy Gunn. Punk could not land the power bomb maneuver on Billy Gunn, and the member of The Gunn Club just fell on the spring mattress.

Fortunately, CM Punk and FTR won the exhibition match against The Gunn Club and Max Caster despite the hysterical botches. Who thought ‘Best in the World’ would put himself in such an awkward position?

The jab taking feud between Dwayne Johnson and CM Punk!

When Punk was in WWE, he had unmistakably exceptional promo skills, sharp delivery, and incredible in-ring wrestling moves. CM Punk rose to prominence because he was productive between the ropes and on mics.

Punk, who is known for his rebellious gimmicks, had a problem with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson soaking up all the glory on his return to WWE in 2012.

Once during Punk’s shoot, he referred to The Rock as “a** kisser.” This jab by ‘Best in the World’ was described in more depth during an interview with Mark Madden on the Pitsburg radio show.

Punk mentioned“I have no personal problems against Dwayne. It’s very frustrating being here and watch a guy come in and get credit for a WrestleMania buyrate when he didn’t do anything on the show. He certainly didn’t do anything entertaining. There’s a line he crossed at some point where I think he is just as out of touch as the Vince McMahons and everybody else.”

The AEW World Champion sarcastically called Dwayne Johnson and his ideas old. However, Punk also noted that someday, hopefully, a youthful version of CM Punk will call out to him when his ideas might get corny.

AEW Wrestler, Who Raps Better Than John Cena, Disrespects Billionaire Vince McMahon in the Worst Way Possible

Well, yes, it happened on the latest AEW Dynamite edition. The AEW star MJF, laid a pipe bomb on the company’s boss, Tony Khan. MJF’s pipe bomb was similar to what we witnessed CM Punk doing on WWE a decade ago. It’s surprising how life came a full circle to the ‘Best in the World’ CM Punk.
