MJF gave it his all in the vicious battle with AEW World Champion Jon Moxley. However, in the end, Moxley turned out to be a much tougher opponent than he had imagined.

Jon pinned MJF to retain his title after executing a paradigm shift. I know what you’re thinking – the paradigm shift was banned in this match-up.

However, this is professional wrestling. Despite all advancements in technology, a referee is the only arbiter of justice. If he misses something illegal, then that goes down as legal.

As Wardlow was distracting the ref, Moxley delivered a brutal paradigm shift to an unsuspecting MJF.

Despite him displaying cowardish heel tendencies often, MJF was all game in this match. In fact, he was busted open very badly at one point. The blood flowed profusely from his head as the entire ring drenched in crimson.

Jon Moxley takes some sweet revenge on MJF

Jon Moxley had delivered some vicious blows to MJF’s head, leading to him getting cut open. He then launched him into the steel post, leading to the blood flowing profusely. However, Mox was not done yet.

To exact his revenge from this week’s AEW Dynamite, he bit MJF’s head, exacerbating his wound. MJF writhed in pain but that had no effect on a bloodthirsty Moxley.

However, it was not as if MJF couldn’t get in any offense. In fact, for the majority of the match-up, he dominated the World Champion. Like a methodical hunter, he took his prey down piece by piece.

He targeted Moxley’s left arm throughout the match to the point where Moxley struggled with basic lifts. Unfortunately, that wasn’t enough to put away a determined Champion.

As Moxley said after the match, he would have to be killed to be evicted from the top spot. That’s what Lance Archer would plan to do as he challenges Moxley next.
