It’s common practice for rival wrestling promotions to name-drop wrestlers from other promotions. However, WWE never lets its superstars freely use the name “AEW” or its wrestler’s name on television.

On the contrary, AEW never misses out on any chance to drag out WWE’s name or a situation involving one of their superstars during a promo. Superstars like Britt Baker and MJF are notoriously known for name-dropping WWE stars on AEW television.

“Yeah, I believe so. I’m sure that Vince would go crazy and some people got fired for doing that. But they do it on social media, which for some reason is the criteria that they do all, end all for everybody.” Flair said.

However, Flair also confessed that WWE superstars mention AEW over social media or podcast appearances. Maybe the WWE authority must have built a certain blueprint for the superstars to mention the names.
