The Attitude Era in WWE saw some of the best promos delivered by the superstars. Dwayne Johnson is one of those stars who easily hijacked the arena when he started talking on the mic. The fans still love his promos and imitate them often.
Apart from Johnson, there is one more WWE attitude era star, ‘Road Dogg’ Jesse James, who is also famous for his promos. While The Rock was capturing the singles division, Road Dogg was a top star in the tag team division with partner Billy Gunn. However, recently the DX member said about joining AEW.

Recently, Road Dogg appeared in the Busted Open podcast. There he admitted he finds All Elite Wrestling appealing and wants to work with the company. Moreover, he shared about begging Tony Khan for a job at AEW.
Dogg said, “I’m not retired, I’m unemployed. I see things on Tony Khan’s TV show that appall me (and) I could help with that. I have been begging him for a job on every platform I can and I want to know the reason why he won’t hire me.”
The WWE Hall of Famer is eying an in-ring return in AEW. Moreover, his tag team partner Billy Gunn is a member of AEW and has his own faction, The Gunn Club, with his sons. Dogg and Gunn’s last time wrestled as a tag team was in WWE in 2014 and also won the Tag Team title once.
Road Dogg doesn’t think WWE will hire him back
The multi-time tag team champion Road Dogg worked as a producer in WWE since 2011. Furthermore, after WrestleMania 30 in 2014, he started working as the lead writer for SmackDown. However, he thinks WWE would not rehire him, as they have all the tools now.

Road Dogg said, “I would love to go somewhere where I have something to offer. What I have to offer is making the television show sweet. I got a couple of ideas about wrestling. I feel like WWE has that. They have everything I have to offer. I don’t know if they’d hire me back.”

Why was Road Dogg jealous of Dwayne Johnson?
A few weeks ago, Road Dogg appeared in an interview with Chris Van Vliet. There James admitted there were times he was mean to Dwayne Johnson because he was jealous of him.

The reason was Dogg believes he had all the tools The Rock possesses. Moreover, James also states he thought The Hollywood actor was a threat to him during their time in WWE.
