Ever since Triple H came into power after Vince McMahon stepped down from his post as the Chair of WWE, The Game has left no stone unturned to scout talents from all around the world and bring them to WWE.

Sources state that WWE is eyeing an AEW star to add to its talent roster, and that star is none other than Kenny Omega. The one-third of the AEW World Trios Champions with The Young Bucks was once a part of the WWE family way back in 2005. However, his experience with the company back in the days was not so good, which led him to say goodbye to WWE.

Now WWE is looking to bag the Executive Vice President of AEW.

Kenny Omega might land in the kingdom of Triple H

Dave Meltzer, from the Wrestling Observer, in his newsletter, reported that WWE might sideline Jay White for some time to bring in the inaugural IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion into the family. WWE has prioritized Omega over White because the company considers the former as a “much bigger major free agent.”

As per the rumors going on, Omega’s AEW contract has already expired or is about to expire soon. Sources from FightFul Select have stated that AEW EVP’s contract might get extended to compensate for the off-time he took to heal from his injuries. But nothing of such sort has happened “yet.”

FightFul has also revealed, despite having a rocky start with the company almost 18 years ago, the relationship between WWE and the onetime AEW World Champion is going well as of now. Several other sources have also reported that many people in WWE have expressed that the hiring of the former AEW World Tag Team Champion is a huge possibility, especially when his relationship with The Hunter is in full bloom at the moment.

Kenny Omega and his team had a fight with CM Punk

The chances of AEW losing the 6-foot star to WWE are looking very high. Apart from that, AEW is also on the verge of losing another major talent, CM Punk. He was last seen in September’s All-Out, where the retired mixed martial artist was involved in a brawl with The Elite. After his victory over Jon Moxley, he took a dig at Omega, Matt Jackson, and Nick Jackson at a post-match press conference.

This led The Elite and the two-time AEW World Champion to share blows in the locker room backstage. As a result, both parties got suspended. The trio has returned to the company after completing their suspension period. However, fans are yet to see Punk’s comeback to the company. There is no report about his return to AEW as of now.

What do you think? Will the 44-year-old make his comeback to AEW or has his time at the wrestling company come to an end?
