Damian Priest and Bad Bunny stole the show in their own backyard at Backlash. The San Juan crowd at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot arena was on fire as Priest and Bunny took each other to their limits. However, that’s not it as we saw WWE legends Carlito and Savio Vega make a return with to a huge pop during the match.

Toward the end of the match, Judgement Day members Finn Balor and Dominik Mysterio made their way to the ring. They attacked Bunny and Rey Mysterio quickly came out to help Bunny but was outnumbered. What happened next blew the roof as former United States Champion Carlito returned to help the ‘Master of 619’.

The crowd went wild as Carlito, who currently wrestles more often at the Puerto Rican circuit, once again came to the big stage. Moreover, while Balor and Dom were walking back Puerto Rican WWE legend, Savio Vega entered along with LWO as a backup. While LWO gave a beating to Judgement Day, Vega also threw his iconic chop and a kick on Balor and Dom.

The rapper won the match after connecting Priest with several moves which included hitting him with a ‘Bunny Destroyer’ too. The San Juan Street Fight was easily the match of the night as it gave a thrilling and nostalgic experience to the fans.

Fans for berserk seeing Carlito back in WWE!

WWE never teased Carlito’s return to Backlash, nor there were any hints as LWO ran wild on SmackDown. Hence, when he returned, the crowd went berserk, and they shared their reactions on Twitter. Below are some of the reactions the fans shared over the former US Champion’s return.

Carlito last appeared at WWE men’s Royal Rumble in 2021 when the company was in its Thunderdome era. Therefore, we didn’t get to hear a proper pop for the former US Champion in 2021. But this time, Triple H made the right call booking his return at the PLE in Puerto Rico in this highly anticipated match.
