Dwayne Johnson Upsets Warner Brothers Despite Black Adam Success; DCEU Executive Makes Scathing Accusation Against WWE Legend

A few days ago Dwayne Johnson shared a tweet in which he shared his profits earned from the movie Black Adam. He called his DCEU debut a success for the franchise, which is supposedly restarting their film universe. Shockingly, Warner Bros. recently accused The Rock of sharing the profits on his social media. They said the team of the actor leaked the inaccurate amount of profit to Deadline.
Recently, CBR.com shared a report about Warner Bros. accusing Dwayne Johnson of sharing inaccurate profits online. The report said, according to Puck’s Matt Belloni, “several Warners executives” believe that “Team Dwayne Johnson” shared the amount with Deadline.

This was to counter the news of the DCEU losing between $50 and $100 million through Black Adam. Belloni also stated that the report was “filled with false assumptions”. Also, in the long run, “nearly all movies of this size will ultimately pencil out after every window is exhausted over years and years.”
Black Adam collected revenue of $389 million as this article is written, which is close to $400 million. Several critics and the studio hopes to touch the $400 million mark this month. The current box-office collection is of seven weeks after the film was released.

In the tweet that DJ shared on Twitter a few days ago, he compared Black Adam’s success with Captain America: The First Avenger. He focused on the similarities of how the first introductory films earned a nominal collection.
However, when the first Captain America movie hit theaters, superhero movies weren’t a thing. Moreover, it was almost 10 years ago, but today the market of the superhero genre is big. Therefore, after top-tier marketing, many expected Black Adam would shatter all records at the box office.

When Black Adam can in its fourth week, MCU released the sequel of Black Panther. At the time, The Rock’s film had earned around $340 million at the box office. Surprisingly, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever opened with a bang as it earned as Black Adam did in its first weekend.
Nevertheless, after its success in the opening week, Dwayne Johnson shared a tweet congratulation MCU. He was happy to see the movies of both studios were the top two films in the world.
