Michael Jordan is arguably the most popular athlete in the world right now – the Chicago Bulls legend has surpassed his competition and achieved the impossible, with six NBA Championships and five NBA MVP awards to his name. It is no wonder that Jordan is considered the highest benchmark for any athlete in any sport, including pro-wrestling.

Fans will instantly remember one of the funniest celebrity promos in WWE history, when the Miz challenged LaVar Ball, and called himself the “Michael Jordan of the WWE.” Knowing Ball’s history with the basketball legend, fans weren’t shocked to see the business tycoon lose his cool and get riled up.

What did Ball do to the “Michael Jordan of WWE”?

The WWE star ended up calling out Ball on his wild claims, saying, “I hear you always talking talking talking, saying that ‘I can beat Michael Jordan one-on-one…Understand that you are in a WWE Ring with the Michael Jordan of WWE.” This really ground Ball’s gears, and he tried to calm himself down by walking to the other side of the ring, while demanding that his son LaMelo Ball “take care of this lightweight,” which upset the Miz further.

Michael Jordan is a sore subject for Ball. “Like I’ve said before, there are only two dudes better than me and I’m both of them,” said Ball, before confronting the Miz, who took off his coat to flex on Ball and threaten the businessman. However, the move backfired, with the CEO of Big Baller Brand rising to the challenge and stripping himself down to his trousers before getting in position to fight. The altercation, however, was interrupted by the “Lunatic Fringe”, Dean Ambrose, who walked down the ramp in Big Baller gear.
