Shaquille O’Neal is a NBA legend, having spent the most of his career with the Los Angeles Lakers franchise, winning four championships. He is one of the all-time greats in competition’s history. Apart from this, he has acted in many movies and is a lifelong pro wrestling fan.

Shaq has appeared for various wrestling organizations over the years and has actively participated in the ring.

The Big Diesel also named Ric Flair as one of his all-time favorites, but admitted that he can’t do the one thing ‘The Nature Boy’ is good at.

Shaq reveals he can’t do Flair’s signature shout

In an interview with The Post Game, Shaq was asked to name his Mount Rushmore of pro wrestling.

The NBA legend was reluctant at first, saying that there are too many great names and he didn’t want to disrespect anyone.

Finally, he gave in and named a few wrestlers who he thought belonged at the top.

He said, “I don’t want to disrespect any guys. There are a lot of great names. But I’ll try. Hulk Hogan, see, but I’m kind of weird because I used to like guys like Jimmy Snuka, “Junkyard Dog. Bad Bad Leroy Brown. I liked guys like that. And of course, Ric Flair”.

After mentioning Flair’s name, Shaq tried to do his signature shout ‘Wooo!’ but couldn’t get the high pitch in his voice.

 

He said, “I wish I could do it. I can’t go high, yeah I could never go high,” after giving it another shot.

There are very few things that the great Shaquille O’Neal cannot do and it turns out Flair’s iconic shout is one of them.

Will Shaquille O’Neal wrestle again?

A big fan of pro wrestling, Shaquille O’Neal, appeared on an episode of RAW in 2009 as the guest host and took down the Big Show after an altercation.

He also took part in Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 32.

In addition to this, the NBA champion also wrestled for AE. He teamed up with Jade Cargill against Cody Rhodes and Red Velvet on Dynamite.

Many fans still want to see him square off against the Big Show in a match after their brief tease all those years ago. Having appeared in both WWE and AEW, if Shaq does return to the ring to wrestle again, it will be interesting to see which company he will choose.
