University of Minnesota wrestler Gable Steveson came into the limelight when he won an Olympic Gold medal for the USA in amateur wrestling. It appears his form hasn’t deserted him as he won his second NCAA Heavyweight Championship on Saturday in Detroit, Michigan. This victory came after he defeated Cohlton Schultz of Arizona State.

While the amateur wrestling world congratulated Steveson for his second consecutive NCAA Heavyweight title win, WWE shared his victory on their Twitter account.

However, WWE Legend Triple H also took to Twitter to congratulate the Olympic Gold Medalist.

‘The Cerebral Assassin’ said, “Unstoppable. Undefeated.

Congrats to @GableSteveson on BACK TO BACK @NCAA championships.”

It is no secret that Gable Steveson has signed a NIL deal with WWE after he won his Olympic Gold medal. Hence, when he does make his debut, he will be the WWE’s second Olympic gold medalist after Kurt Angle.

When can we expect Gable Steveson in WWE?

Gable Steveson, who won his second consecutive NCAA Heavyweight Championship, bid adieu to the amateur wrestling world. The 21-year-old took to Twitter to announce his retirement from the sport.

Steveson had said many times that becoming a WWE superstar was his dream. Last September, after the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, WWE announced they have signed Gable Steveson in their first-ever NIL deal. The deal allowed Gable to complete his college and then join WWE.

He appeared on WWE television twice in the bleachers and was featured in the 2021 WWE draft. As an official member of RAW, he can make his debut soon.

The WWE Universe can expect him as a participant in André the Giant Battle Royal. However, as it is a pre-show match, WWE won’t let their latest acquisition make his arrival on the pre-show.
