Recently, a commentator, Jim Ross, recalled some hardships that Lesnar went through. He also revealed the motivating factor behind the 45-year-old wrestler’s career.

One of which was the Beast Incarnate, who was also a part of WWE’s Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) developmental system. JR has witnessed his journey from scratch and shared the same on the podcast.

During a conversation with Conrad Thompson on his own podcast channel, Grilling JR podcast, Jim Ross shared some facts about Lesnar. He mentioned the period when the 10-time world champion was in need of money. He was completely broke, and that’s why they made a deal with The Conqueror’s former wrestling coach, J. Robinson.

JR said, “We made a deal with J Robinson that we would not sign Brock [until the end of the wrestling season] because Brock wanted money.”

Further, he also emphasized Lesnar’s precarious financial condition at that time. As he said, “Brock wanted money right away [in WWE]. He was tired of being broke. I think he was probably getting tired of the camps and the training and the practices, being in school, the structured situation. That wasn’t his idea of a good time.”

This revelation brought by Jim Ross was an insight that wrestlers’ fans will get to know. It is an inspiring journey ‌‌that gives a lot of hope to the budding wrestlers out there.
