27-Year-Old AEW Wrestler Cosplays as WWE Legend Shawn Michaels for Latest Show

Shawn Michaels is one pro-wrestler who carried a lot of charisma during his time in WWE. He was at the peak of his career during the New Generation Era before he took his first retirement in 1998. Michaels had already cemented his legacy during his first run in the company.
Shawn Michaels returned in 2002 and finally retired in the year 2010 after an amazing match against The Undertaker. He returned to have a match in 2018 as a part of DX vs Brothers of Destruction. Even after a decade of retirement, Michaels has a long list of fans, some of which have become pro-wrestlers now.

We also know Shawn Michaels for his colorful and funky outfits during his first run with WWE. He was a fan favorite and had a big female fan following. His entrance music and his outfits matched his showstopper gimmick very much.

Recently, AEW star Austin Gunn, son of the Attitude Era star Billy Gunn, posted a picture of him cosplaying Shawn Michaels on Twitter. The caption for the post was,

He entered cosplaying Shawn Michaels in the recent episode of AEW Rampage in his match against Jurassic Express. He pulled off the look on the show. The only thing missing to complete his cosplay was the entrance song of Shawn Michaels.
Michaels and Billy Gunn are members of the famous Attitude Era faction D Generation X and are good friends to date. Austin Gunn is a fan of Shawn Michaels and as a tribute to him, Gunn wore gear like the Showstopper.
Will Shawn Michaels come out of retirement again?
Shawn Michaels retired in 2010 at WrestleMania 26 after an outstanding match against The Undertaker. He gave Undertaker two of the best WrestleMania matches of his career. Michaels came out of retirement in 2018 after eight years for a match at Crown Jewels.

The match was DX vs Brothers of Destruction and was the Main Event of that evening. It excited the fans in the arena and all watching on their television for his in-ring return. Unfortunately, the match did not go as planned. It received very low ratings and was severely criticized.

Mr. WrestleMania, after the match, gave his opinion and said it was the worst decision to come back out of retirement. He has decided never to have a match again and stay retired for the rest of his life.
Shawn Michaels was the best wrestler during his time. He was a once in lifetime wrestler and fans will always remember his legacy in WWE.
