WWE Superstars often need to take time off to recover from injuries suffered during matches. Recently, Superstar Rick Boogs has fallen victim to this.

Boogs and Shinsuke Nakamura teamed up to take on WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos at WrestleMania 38. Unfortunately, he was injured during the fight, and had to go in for surgery.

As per an update from PWInsider, Boogs’ surgery was successful and he’ll be returning from Birmingham for the headlong process. Considering it’s a quad tear, it’ll be a while before Boogs can come back to the WWE squared circle.

But, that means that Shinsuke Nakamura is left alone to face The Usos, and The Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns.

WWE Undisputed Champion Roman Reigns had a surprise for Shinsuke Nakamura

On WWE SmackDown: April 8th, 2022, Nakamura interrupted Roman Reigns’ segment. However, even before Nakamura could say anything, Reigns started consoling him.

He claimed that The Bloodline knows how it feels to lose a partner because of an injury. He gave Jimmy Uso as an example, revealing it was difficult for Jey and him when Jimmy was out for over a year for the knee injury.

Therefore, he offered Nakamura a consoling hug, to let him know it’s all about the love on the Island of Relevancy. Little did Shinsuke Nakamura know that there was something fishy going on.

It so happened that right after Roman Reigns hugged Nakamura, The Usos Super Kicked Nakamura on his face, taking him out.

Therefore, it’s possible that after taking down Brock Lesnar, Reigns’ next storyline will be with Shinsuke Nakamura. However, several fans believe that this one will end the same way as the previous ones have been ending – Reigns smashing Nakamura.

On the other hand, WWE could stretch this storyline to the point where Boogs returns to help Nakamura against Roman Reigns. However, The Usos interfere to stop Boogs. Eventually, this leads to a rematch between The Usos and Nakamura & Boogs.
