No NXT Talent in either Rumble
It was great to witness the plethora of talent that worked at Royal Rumble 2022 and most were from WWE Raw and WWE SmackDown, while some don’t actually work under any brand but are legends in the business and the company.

However, WWE has another brand that is just as popular as Raw and SmackDown, i.e. NXT. The Superstars who worked under UXT are extremely talented and some fans actually prefer NXT over Raw and SmackDown. Not having any NXT Superstar at Royal Rumble 2022 isn’t a good sign for the company’s progress.
Lack of surprises in the men’s Royal Rumble match
The women’s Royal Rumble match did have some surprise returns, such as Melina and Ivory. The same was expected for the men’s Royal Rumble match as well.
One of the names that entered the match that wasn’t announced previously was Bad Bunny. However, many had predicted that he would come back at this PPV and it wasn’t quite a surprise.
Both WWE World title matches did not have clean finishes
First, the WWE Universal Championship.
Roman Reigns had put the title on the line against Seth Rollins. In the final moments, before the bell rang, Reigns put Rollins in the guillotine hold but should have let go since Rollins grabbed the rope.
Unfortunately, Rollins didn’t let go, and neither did Roman. The bell went off and Reigns retained the belt, but Rollins won via DQ. Following this, Reigns smashed Rollins with a chair to make him feel the same pain he did when Rollins ended The Shield.
Second, the WWE Championship.
Brock Lesnar had put the title on the line against Bobby Lashley. Now, when he was executing an F5 on Lashley, it accidentally took out the referee too.
While Lashley was looking at the fallen referee, Reigns appeared out of nowhere and speared Lesnar. Heyman betrayed Lesnar and handed over the WWE Championship belt to Reigns, which he used to smash Lesnar on the face.
Lashley capitalized on a flattened Lesnar and pinned him without any resistance from The Beast.

Hence, none of the matches had finished that a championship match should have!
Underutilizing WWE Legend Melina
Melina returned to the ring for the first time since 2011. That’s more than a decade. She was the second entrant for the women’s match, Sasha Banks being the first.
The company could have majorly profited from using her presence in the ring for more than what they actually did. The fans are of the opinion that Melina deserved more than Banks eliminating her within moments.

When The Beast lost the WWE Championship to Bobby Lashley, the fans did predict that Lesnar might win the men’s Rumble match but still hoped WWE wouldn’t go the predictable way.
Of course, Lesnar entered the ring as number 30 and showed his domination. He took out quite a few superstars before finally eliminating Drew McIntyre to become the winner.

The company could have used this match to push forward a fresh talent instead of sticking to the same names such as Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns over and over again.
