Tempers were flying high on NXT last week when Adam Cole had a tussle with Pat McAfee. The latter ended up punt kicking Cole so hard it knocked him out! McAfee has finally talked about the consequences of that kick for the first time since it happened.

In a recent interview on The Pat McAfee Show, McAfee himself spoke about the reason behind his aggressive actions and what happened after.

“Obviously last Wednesday night, something happened in NXT that I did not expect to happen, that I did not know was gonna happen, that frankly is out of my character a little bit,” admits McAfee. “But there’s only so many times that I could be disrespected and I said this in an Instagram post- Tim McAfee and Sally McAfee did not raise no punk a** b**** okay?”

“So you wanna push my friend, you wanna cause thousand self dollars worth of damage to the studio, you wanna throw a bottle at me, you wanna yell at me because of a couple little jokes that I make, at some point I’m gonna have to do something, okay? And what I decided to do was punt his head off of his fucking body and knock him out cold,” says McAfee.

The NXT Superstar claims that this wasn’t the only thing that bothered him, but also the way Triple H behaved after the incident.

Pat McAfee feels betrayed by Triple H

“Then Triple H by the way, a man that we were friends with, respect, done business with, goes on- get up the next day, talks a lot of sh** on me, and then offers me a challenge to fight Adam Cole at Takeover on August 12, SummerSlam weekend. So obviously I see that,” exclaims McAfee.

Recalling the event, McAfee claims that he couldn’t enjoy the rest of his honeymoon with his wife. This is because the whole time, Triple H’s betrayal was the thought on the back of his mind.

However, in retrospect, McAfee seems to have no regrets and feels good about the whole thing.

“I haven’t been kicked out of a place by the entire place in a long time. It’s been a long time since I’ve been kicked or if the place by the ENTIRE place,” says McAfee. “Not just a couple of people, not just this—the entire place kicked me out of the building”

“I just want to let everyone know that I am very much going in there with the mindset that I am going to win, that I am going to remain undefeated and I am going to dance in the grave of the entire f****** NXT,” concludes McAfee.

We don’t know what’s on his mind but we can are sure that Pat McAfee will be coming into Takeover all guns blazing. Adam Cole may have all the moves, but he may have already tasted his fate last week with that lights-out punt kick.
