Comparing his current boss, Tony Khan, with his former boss, Vince McMahon is a just bit too much, even for the pipe bomb specialist, CM Punk.
But this is not the first time that Punk has mentioned his former boss, Vince McMahon. The ‘Best in the World’ made many appearances in interviews speaking out about Vince McMahon and WWE’s business practices. It is clear that Punk was not enjoying himself while working for McMahon. But his insistence to drag McMahon’s name everywhere goes to show the influence the former WWE Chairman has even after retiring.

CM Punk calls out Vince McMahon on All Out post-event conference
At the post-event conference, CM Punk told the reporters, “I’m very sad today that I have to say his name. He doesn’t fu****g deserve it. But facts are facts, you know. Name 2 people that have made the most money off the name CM Punk,” To Tony Khan, who’s sitting right next to him, “I don’t think you’re there yet. The first one is Vince McMahon, and the second is Scott Colton (Colt Cabana). I hope you all have a goodnight.”

For everyone wondering, Scott Colton is a current AEW superstar who goes by the name of Colt Cabana. During the time when Punk was not wrestling, he appeared on Cabana’s podcast and spilled spicy bits from his WWE days. This basically skyrocketed Cabana in the wrestling industry and that’s why Punk takes credit for it.

Ever since Punk has come back to wrestling and competing in AEW, we rarely see Cabana on TV. This is why some people are calling out Punk for controlling AEW through his popularity.
