WWE ThunderDome continues to be the top subject of conversation among wrestlers, fans, audiences, and critics. Not only WWE Superstars, but wrestlers from other companies are also talking about it. One such ex-Superstar, Jon Moxley, has broken his silence about the WWE ThunderDome.

During a session on Wrestling Observer Radio, Jon Moxley harshly criticizes the entire concept of the WWE ThunderDome. He believes that WWE, as a company, needs to understand where its core problem lies. A lavish arena with LED screens and other extravagant features is not going to help the company solve its problem.

Moxley was very straightforward with his criticism. As per him, Vince McMahon is the number one problem of the company. Until he goes away, no fancy arena can save its sinking ship.

Coming to the ThunderDome itself, Moxley compared it to a zoom call. In addition, he also compares the WWE ThunderDome to a prediction made in a dystopian novel, Fahrenheit 451, by Ray Bradbury.

“So this book was written in 1953 by a guy named Ray Bradbury. It’s kind of like a dystopian kind a thing, kind a like 1984. But he basically predicts in 1953 what 2020 will be like. It’s trippy. If you read it, you’re like ‘woah’. The firemen, they burn books cause they don’t wan people to be literate or smart or think for themselves. They just want to feed them with all this, like mindless entertainment.”

“The ThunderDome made me think of it. Cause this is in the 50’s before computers and social media but he kind of imagined what it will be like. The thing was like your ‘family in the parlour wall’. So like, in your living room the wall will be filled with all these faces that you communicate with and hangout with. Kind of like what social media is now. And that’s exactly what the ThunderDome looked like ‘oh my god, it’s the thing from Fahrenheit 451 come to life.”
