The former Executive Vice President of AEW Cody Rhodes shocked the entire world by signing for WWE after leaving AEW in 2022.

At WrestleMania 38, Cody returned to World Wrestling Entertainment. However, the AEW president, Tony Khan, also had a surprise for all AEW fans.

AEW has emerged as a competitor of WWE. In recent times, we have seen several former WWE superstars making the switch to All Elite Wrestling. And the latest individual to do so is Samoa Joe.

Former WWE superstar Samoa Joe made a shocking appearance during ROH: Supercard of Honor 2022. Soon after that, Samoa Joe signed for All Elite Wrestling (AEW).

Joe is one of the most experienced pro wrestlers. Over the years, he has competed in several matches in different pro wrestling promotions.

In his WWE career, Samoa Joe won the WWE NXT Championship thrice and the WWE United States Championship twice. Joe also did commentary on WWE Raw.

During his time in Impact Wrestling, he won several championships, with the TNA World Heavyweight Championship being one of them.

While there have been rumors about Cody Rhodes returning to WWE, Joe’s AEW signing came as a major surprise for all pro wrestling fans.

Cody Rhodes had a memorable WWE return at WrestleMania 38

Ever since there were rumors of Cody signing for WWE, fans have been chanting Cody’s names. And at WrestleMania 38, fans got to see Cody Rhodes in WWE.

The former WWE Intercontinental Champion returned to WWE after almost six years. On Night One of WrestleMania 38, Cody got revealed as Seth Rollins’ opponent.

WWE fans at the AT&T Stadium in Texas chanted Cody’s name throughout his match against Seth Rollins. Both Rollins and Rhodes produced an exciting match for the fans to enjoy.

In the ending moments of the match, Cody hit Seth Rollins with three Cross Rhodes and successfully pinned the former WWE Champion.
