AEW Wrestler Miro Shares His Time Learning Under the Rock’s Cousin Before WWE Fame

The Olympic Gold Medalist, Kurt Angle, is one of the greatest WWE superstars from The Attitude Era. After his time away from the company, the former WWE Champion Kurt Angle has been doing a podcast show named The Kurt Angle Show. On his podcast, several professional wrestlers from different wrestling promotions have appeared. 

Recently, on the latest edition of The Kurt Angle Show, AEW Star, The Redeemer Miro joined with Paul Bromwell and Angle to discuss his training under The Rock’s cousin and many other things.

Kurt Angle spoke about Miro training with legends from WWE Attitude Era!

The WWE Hall of Famer asked the AEW Star about his training experience under WWE legends Gangrel and Rikishi. The two legends were fellow mates of Kurt from the WWE Attitude Era.

Miro responded“Man, I love them both. I still do. I started with Ric Drasin, which not many people know, who used to be a bodybuilder back in the day.”

WWE legends Gangrel and Rikishi opened up a wrestling academy school called Knokx Pro Wrestling Academy in California. Soon Miro joined them and started training with them in California.

“I started training (with Gangrel and Rikishi); it was the best training ever. It was so much different because we did a lot of endurance. It was not easy by any means. It was almost like going from the kindergarten training to the real training, where you blow up when you do the drills when everybody’s yelling at you and not in a mean way,” said the former TNT Champion.

The former AEW TNT Champion shares his love for WWE legend Gangrel

He also stated the former WWE Superstar Gangrel is his favorite trainer because he is so intense.

“That’s why I just loved Gangrel; his training was so much about basics and aggressiveness, which we know this is number one. And then other side, Rikishi Jr., who was giving us all the psychology of the match, psychology of the business, longevity, just all these advises that only a Hall of Famer can give you, and I felt like it was the best package bundled in one. It was just the best training, in my opinion,” The Redeemer Miro added.

Miro feels that people nowadays are soft because they don’t want to offend anybody. However, he believes that if anybody does not want to offend someone, one shouldn’t be in the professional wrestling business.

The Former TNT Champion has not been seen on AEW television since his last appearance with Bryan Danielson. In the World Title Eliminator Tournament final at Full Gear 2021. He had suffered from a hamstring injury, and he has been going through a recovery procedure.

Many All Elite Wrestling fans have wondered when The Redeemer Miro will pop back on their TV screens. After his recovery, it does not look like the wrestling fans will have to wait for too long to cheer on Miro once again.
