After two unsuccessful seasons in 2000 and 2020 under Vince McMahon’s management, Dwayne Johnson did the unthinkable. He and his ex-wife and manager, Dany Garcia, have finally made XFL successful. Making it a place for the stars who don’t get the NFL spotlight, Johnson must be on top of the world with XFL’s success.

But there is another thing that might make the two even happier. For them as parents, nothing can be bigger than seeing their only daughter make her television debut at NXT and hopefully her first singles rivalry.

Ava Raine, aka Simone Johnson, the daughter of The Rock and Garcia, is finally going to make her television debut in a six-man mixed tag team match. While she has already had her wrestling debut at the Stand and Deliver pre-show, it was less than two minutes. With a smaller number of people in the match, Raine might get to show more offense in front of the fans.

Other than that, Raine has also had a house show match, but it wasn’t televised for the entire WWE Universe to watch. Moreover, with her repeated interruptions, Raine might have scored her first rivalry with Diamond Mine’s Ivy Nile as well.

This could lead to another match with Nile in the future, in her singles debut. Knowing NXT, the promotion might even put the two in a stipulation as well. This might show everyone where Raine’s standing is, compared to the other women on the roster. But eager fans might think, how does Raine compare to her father at this stage of her career?

While Raine made her debut last year, after months of preparation in the Performance Center, she made her in-ring debut this year. For Johnson, everything was faster. Vince McMahon pushed Johnson from the start, making him the sole survivor of 1996’s Survivor Series match. Johnson even won the Intercontinental title the next year, but the fans didn’t like it at all.

There was so much backlash to Rocky Maivia that he had to take some time off and change his entire persona. But Raine has managed her way, even though being The Rock’s daughter has got her a lot of hate, she handled it by taking a page out of her father’s career.

Raine has been building her career slowly and it’ll be only a few years until Raine erupts on the main roster and becomes the focal point for years in the Women’s division.
