WWE has confirmed in their recent Twitter post that Intercontinental Champion AJ Styles will defending his title on SmackDown.

It must be noted that Styles has not been free ever since he won the Intercontintal title with a flurry of challengers lining up to face him.

This includes not only Daniel Bryan, who competed against Styles in the finals of the Intercontinental Championship tournament, but also the young guns like Drew Gulak and Matt Riddle who are baying for blood.

It seems like WWE has finally granted one of the challengers his wish. It’s none other than the technical wrestling wizard Drew Gulak.

After defeating Daniel Bryan two weeks ago, AJ Styles won the Intercontinental Championship for the first time in his career.

In a match that lasted for an unusually long time, Styles and Bryan gave it all they had.

Picking up the victory, Styles called out all the Superstars on the SmackDown roster to witness his title presentation.

However, this only brought him in harm’s way.

By doing this, Styles has become the target for all the hungry superstars who want what he has.

Matt Riddle was the first to take him on and shockingly beat him.

AJ Styles has had a rough reign with the WWE Intercontinental Championship so far

After this victory, the other wolves were soon to follow.

Drew Gulak wasted no time stepping up to challenge the alpha, and AJ Styles has found himself stuck like a tiger in a ditch.

Clinching the victory over him when they last met, Gulak is confident that he can take down Styles for the Intercontinental Championship.

Although it is unlikely that the title will switch hands, we never know what to expect. AJ Styles will have to pull up his socks and earn some wins or else, he will be in serious danger.

With his mind still on Bryan, AJ Styles is in a pretty vulnerable position and needs to get back in the game.

One thing’s for certain, Drew Gulak isn’t the first and won’t be the last to challenge Styles if he defends his title tomorrow.

The hotshot Riddle is also going to want the gold. What better statement to make for a debuting Superstar than beating a Champion twice.

We hope Styles treads lightly tomorrow and watches his back while paying equal attention to the opponent in front of him.
