Therefore, whether he is settling down under WWE NXT as a Superstar or if he is taking up another role is unclear.

Regardless, he loves the sound of his own voice. Hence, even if he settles under the black-and-gold brand as a recurring commentator, it should be good for him.

Coming to the legacy of King Barrett, he won the first season of NXT during 2010. In the same year, he made his Raw debut as well.

Next, he created The Nexus which had the remaining wrestlers from NXT Season 1. However, he still wanted to rise to the top and have full control over everything. As time went on, Wade Barrett proved himself to be one of the toughest Superstars to have walked the ring.

After defeating Neville in 2015, he went on to become the King of the Ring. Fast forward a couple of months, he formed The League of Nations with Sheamus, Rusev, and Alberto Del Rio.

In fact, for a while, there were speculations that Barrett might join AEW. These came following AEW Executive, Cody Rhodes, stated that he believes Wade Barrett can still become a World Champion.
