“Look here, this is what I think and I had this conversation with somebody that’s really close with him and at the time I was like ‘Why aren’t we making this happen?’ I mean it’s not something that I don’t want it’s something that I want,” says Lashley.
Lashley has made it clear time and again that he wants the big match against Lesnar to happen and has openly admitted it.
He describes the time the thought first came into his head.
“When I first started people were saying ‘Oh that’s a black Lesnar’ and I was like ‘No. But I understand that you guys have some kind of comparison because we had kind of similar careers,’” explains Lashley.
“I think it’s something that needs to happen, whether they do it or not,” says Lashley. “I was told at one point of time that ‘this Brock, you’re not at his level yet’ so I don’t know.”
Bobby Lashley confirms that the match is more than a rumor
Lashley goes on to explain why the match hasn’t already happened since his return to WWE for a second stint.
“Now the high ups, I haven’t really talked about it with Vince or anybody like that. But I think at one point in time there was some talk about maybe teasing It and seeing where it went but at the time he was knee-deep in a feud against Roman and then Seth was coming behind him. They already had things lined up for him.”

Brock Lesnar is still out of action following his loss to Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania.
Lashley feels that this would be the perfect time to kick-start their storyline.
“I think if any time, it’s now, I think now is a really good time,” admits Lashley. “I think I’ve gotten through with all the paying dues, stuff that I’ve done since I’ve been back. I think my characters starting to develop a little bit more to being who I am. I get to fight, I get to beat people up and I don’t have to lay down to the guys that are 100 pounds less than me that shouldn’t really be in the ring with me, let’s put it that way.”

Lashley clearly isn’t too happy about the matches he’s been pushed for at WWE so far.
He wants real competition, Superstars that match his size and nothing less. Hopefully, WWE gives us this dream match before its too late.
