It seems that a lot of hopes have been dashed by this piece of information that we have just received. WWE Superstar Brock Lesnar may not return at Summerslam after all! There are other plans in store for the Beast but not for now.

Brock has spent his time on the shelves ever since his decisive loss to Drew McIntyre over two months ago at WrestleMania. The Beast Incarnate’s absence means a lot of superstars go unpunished.

Drew McIntyre is enjoying his reign as WWE Champion and Brock surprisingly hasn’t emerged to reclaim his strap. Therefore, Bobby Lashley has stepped in to fill the huge void left by The Conquerer.

Lashley has had a great run in his second stint at WWE and wants the belt that rests on McIntyre’s shoulder. The two are set to clash at Backlash in what is looking to be a hard-fought match, to say the least.

As per multiple rumors, McIntyre will successfully defend his title at Backlash by serving a beatdown to a driven Lashley. He would then go on to fight at Summerslam, where the Beast would return.

Another more thrilling rumor was that Lashley would pull off an upset and beat the crowd-favorite McIntyre at Backlash. This would set up the fabled Lashley vs Lesnar feud that could effectively bring the house down.

In an interview last week, Lashley expressed his desire to face Brock Lesnar sometime in the future. He is sure that the fans want that fight.

The executive director of RAW, Paul Heyman also has big plans for Lashley and could have the Lesnar feud lined up for him.

Brock Lesnar may face Bobby Lashley in the future

This would be an epic chain of events. We were even hoping for a bloody triple threat involving the three powerhouses- Lashley, Lesnar, and McIntyre for the WWE Championship. How amazing would that be, right?

However, it looks like the prodigal son will not be returning at Summerslam to grab gold. This brings a series of new avenues to light. However, speculations regarding the same can only commence after the Lashley-McIntyre match at Backlash.

There could be a continued feud through Extreme Rules between the two that could last all the way to Summerslam now that Lesnar’s out of the picture.

It was widely believed that the main reason behind Lashley’s return to WWE in 2018 was to build him up for the Brock match. Just thinking about the two fightings it out sends chills down our spines.

We aren’t saying there will be no Lashley vs Lesnar match. We’re just saying that it may not be a probability until Summerslam.
