Ahead of the bout with Mark Hunt at UFC 200, Brock Lesnar appeared for an interview with ESPN. He shared that Muhammad Ali’s inspired him without speaking a word.
Lesnar says, “I got to meet Ali one time and all I remember when I met and shook the man’s hand was, he never talked, at that point Parkinson’s, the illness had taken over. But, I just remember when he extended his hand, and he didn’t have to say anything to me, it was just, not a weird vibe, it was such a gracious handshake and it was just very, I can’t even put a word to it.”
The former UFC Heavyweight Champion added, “So I felt something powerful from the man. I watched pretty much all of his fights, I met him one time and he never spoke a word to me, but I felt the presence and power from him.”
The Louisville Lip was indeed the greatest boxer who ever stepped foot in the ring. The Beast was just inspired by a handshake by the aura of Ali’s presence. This sentence itself speaks to why the WWE star respects him so much.
In the interview, Lesnar also claimed to watch all of Ali’s fights. The Conqueror has stated multiple times he doesn’t watch any matches unless it’s important or billed as ‘Greatest’. This is another instance of Lesnar showing how much The Legendary Boxer’s fan he is since a long time.
What quality of Muhammad Ali does Brock Lesnar like?
Muhammad Ali was a Total Package in the world of Boxing. He was quick, dropped powerful punches in the ring, and smashed his opponents outside the ring, cutting prolific promos. Moreover, he sold multiple PPVs during his career.
